“A 10-year-old girl was raped, tortured and beaten as she was sold for sex at two Big Apple motels while staff turned a blind eye to her obvious abuse, a bombshell $10 million lawsuit filed Tuesday claims.

The suit, filed in Brooklyn federal court and the first of its kind in New York, claims Wyndham Hotels & Resorts and Choice Hotels Corporation were complicit in the girl’s abuse by operating franchises that chose “to ignore the open and obvious presence of sex trafficking on their properties.”” . . . “Jim Farmer, a basketball legend who played for the University of Alabama, has been arrested on human trafficking charges. investigators placed several decoy advertisements on websites known to be linked to commercial sex in order to find individuals seeking sex with minors. Authorities arrested 16 men, including Farmer, and booked them in the Rutherford County Jail.”

The Dothan Eagle reports that the arrest was part of a two-day undercover sting in Tennessee, where Farmer lives. They noted more on his playing career, saying, “Farmer went on to play for the Mavericks, Utah Jazz, Seattle Supersonics, Philadelphia 76ers and Denver Nuggets. Farmer was in the first class of the Houston Academy Sports Hall of Fame in 2017.

Numerous Epstein victims have met with prosecutors in recent days.

The staffers, who worked in the victim services unit, held a similar meeting in New York on Oct. 23, lawyers for the women and a law enforcement source told The Daily Beast.
Two people familiar with the investigation said that prosecutors have heard from “dozens” of witnesses or victims since Epstein’s arrest in July.“

“For 10 years, Courtney Wild waged almost a one-woman crusade against the federal government on behalf of victims of sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein, who molested her and countless other underage girls around the country.

Some of that time, Wild pursued justice from a putrid Florida state prison cell, where she was serving a longer sentence for a drug crime than Epstein, who received a plea deal that allowed him to enjoy his 13-month jail term mostly from the comforts of his luxurious office in West Palm Beach.

But a decade later, Wild’s relentless quest has led to a bipartisan push in Congress for sweeping reforms that, among other things, gives judges the power to nullify plea deals that violate the Crime Victims’ Rights Act (CVRA).
