Daily Mail [UK] – ‘I have insurance’: Rudy Giuliani warns Trump against throwing him ‘under the bus’ during impeachment probe – but insists the pair have a ‘very, very good relationship’
Rudy Giuliani said he has ‘insurance’ if President Donald Trump tried to ‘throw him under the bus’ over Ukraine

Not good if this is true. We need someone in the Presidency who would oppose the vaccine mandates and Trump is the only one who could pull off a win, I think. One thing about underage girls (and boys), though, is it varies by state and country. It doesn’t always correspond to being a major (adult) either, surprisingly enough. What’s unseemly and unethical isn’t always illegal. Age of consent is 15 years old in some states, if I recall correctly (I read it fairly recently). Age of consent is low in the UK and in Switzerland. 17 is a violation of some state laws but not British laws. So, the issue is really rape, trafficking, and slavery in some of these instances and not statutory rape (sex with a minor).

I think you misunderstood what I said or meant: Teens have only recently been defined as “children”. The age of consent is as low as 15 or 16 years old in some states and higher and others. You can be “age of consent” in one state and not another. You can be “age of consent” and defined as minors for other things under the law, such as voting. There’s a big difference in a 17 1/2 year old and a 7 year old, too, and actually a different word. Sex with anyone below the age of consent is classified as statutory rape. That varies by state and location. I only learned this recently. I thought that it was 18 everywhere but it’s not: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Age_of_consent
Calling 17 1/2 year olds crossing the border “children” gets on my last nerve. Maybe it wasn’t like that when you were in school, but if a teacher dared call a teenagers “boys and girls” there was an uproar with the students says that they weren’t children.

This is a shorter and to the point link. It matters because what’s legal in New York isn’t the same in Florida: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ages_of_consent_in_the_United_States
And, what’s legal in the UK isn’t the same, either. In Florida below 18 is statutory rape and in New York it’s below 17. In New Mexico it’s below 16 years old. Epstein had places in all three and could manipulate these laws accordingly. If he wanted to entrap someone in a crime with a 17 year old he could go to Florida. If he wanted to be legal himself, he could take the same 17 year old to New Mexico. There may be laws against taking the person across state lines, etc. – I don’t know, but this is one legal complication. I still maintain that a 17 year old and someone in their early 20s is more natural and less of a power disparity than an 18 year old and someone in their 30s or 40s. The laws general recognize this sort of thing and if sex is between a 17 year old and a 19 year old they don’t prosecute. I think the law is 16 in the UK — it says in the other link. I think that sex between teens and old people is unnatural regardless of the law. It doesn’t help in the prevention of child sexual abuse to lump people old enough to have children with real children.

Maybe I’m the one who misunderstood. Maybe you meant that someone who can’t consent to sex is defined as a child in that jurisdiction. I think they need to change age of consent to the same as voting and military age in all jurisdictions, with the exception of if they are both teens. In one of the states, I think Mississippi, age of majority is 21, yet age of consent is 16 years old. That’s simply ridiculous and problematic, because the parent then could be responsible for the children of their child. They should just make voting, age of consent, age of majority and driving all 18. They can make exemptions for kids who need a car to drive to school or work. At 17 Virginia Giuffre was an adult under New York and New Mexico law but not under Florida law is what I was driving at. 14 is a child everywhere and even though they are teens I agree that 14 should be considered childhood.
