Epstein Executors Want Secretive Arbitration for Victims’ Comp.

Reuters – Executors of Jeffrey Epstein’s estate propose victim compensation fund

NEW YORK (Reuters) – The executors of the estate of Jeffrey Epstein said on Thursday they had asked a judge to approve the creation of a proposed fund to compensate women the financier was accused of having sexually abused.

. . . The executors, Darren Indyke and Richard Kahn, said in a statement that the fund would create a “voluntary, confidential, non-adversarial alternative to litigation.”

Shut-up money, in other words.

NY Times – U.S. Judge Rebukes Epstein Estate for Keeping Accusers in Dark About Settlement

“Roberta Kaplan, one of the attorneys for the women, said she was met with “radio silence” when she had tried to discuss a settlement with the estate. She said it was “incredibly disrespectful” to propose the fund without hearing from the alleged victims.

Freeman [ Magistrate Judge ] agreed the women must have more of a say about any settlement process, adding it could not be “unilateral.”

“A woman who says she was just 11 years old when Jeffrey Epstein sexually abused her is among nine accusers who filed a new Manhattan lawsuit against the dead pedophile’s estate.

The women — who filed the case without using their real names — say they were sexually abused and in some cases raped in incidents as early as 1978 and as recent as 2004, according to the Supreme Court lawsuit filed late Thursday.”
